Hi, I’m Kimberlee!

She/Her. Queer. Agnostic Christian Chaplain.

Lover of Stories and Tea.

I am a Queer woman in my 30s who strives to start each day with the best cup of tea (milk and sugar, please!). I love a good story—whether it's a TikTok, a movie, a book, or something shared by one of my patients.

I love to create, mostly baking, quilting, and cross-stitching; I'm not an expert at any of it, but it feeds my soul. So does writing.

I serve as a hospital chaplain in Minneapolis, Minnesota, having previously served as an associate pastor and a hospice chaplain. In my work, I focus on birth, oncology, the intersection of the two, and caring for our world-class staff. I also provide on-call coverage for the rest of our hospital that includes neuro and cardiac ICUs and inpatient mental health.

I hold a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Speech Communication (emphasis in Health Communication) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Public Relations from Webster University.

Previous Lives:

  • volunteer coordinator for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

  • college speech & debate coach

  • college instructor for public speaking and interpersonal communication

What does it mean to be an "agnostic Christian"?

This term may mean something else to others who use it, but here's what it means to me. I believe in a divine power, and I believe I have encountered that divine power through the teachings of Christianity. But I am humble enough to say, "I don't know."
